Getting your California Learners Permit

THE CALIFORNIA LEARNERS PERMIT

You get your California learners permit to drive by first completing your drivers education requirement. CA driving school offers an online drivers education course for california, a home study drivers education booklet course, or an in class drivers education course.

To obtain your California learners permit you must be:

At lease 15 years old
Fill out DMV application (DL44)
Obtain your parents or guardian signature on the application form
Present an acceptable birth data/legal presence document
Have completed Drivers Education
Provide social security number
Pay a $12 application fee
Pass the drivers permit test

The next step is to get your "behind the wheel" drivers training. California Driving school offers drivers training in a variety of locations around California. We also offer special discounted rates for students who take both their california drivers education and california drivers training with us. At the completion of drivers training you are ready to take the Dept. of Motor Vehicles written test.
